Profile
Waggs N Whistles is situated on the outskirts of Liphook and was set up by Tanya Pryer.
We are fully insured and offer many years of experience with various breeds, from Chihuahua's & Jack Russells to Dobermans and all sorts in between.
We are lucky to have our own paddock for dogs to train and play along with hundreds of acres of open walking ground only a few minutes' walk away.
We currently have 2 types of gundog breeds but have owned numerous other breeds and have experience in showing, working and training dogs, but Tanya's interest is with HPR (hunt, point and retrieve) breeds. We enjoy the temperament of these breeds and enjoy their gentle nature and willingness to please, which make them a lovely addition to the family if trained and guided in the right direction.
Having grandchildren ourselves, we believe it is very important to teach children and animals to respect each other, this is why we have included puppy and child training handling programmes, to suit individual requirements.
Having a bond with your dog will help you with training as communication, trust and discipline is required, along with a calm assertive energy.
Watching your pets learn and grow into well behaved animals, we can be proud to take them anywhere and it is a great feeling of achievement.
As new pet owners bringing a new pup into our home, we can easily forget that whilst we are excited that this new family member is soon to arrive, to a puppy it's a huge upheaval leaving their mum and litter mates.
Guidance on how to introduce your new pup to your home is offered. We also teach your children to be kind, respectful and caring to their new addition in order to receive the same in return. If children are taught from the off how to respect, care and offer only kindness for their new pet, they can learn how to look after and be considerate animal owners which can take them through into adult life.
Keeping your pet in good health is of the utmost importance and the correct diet and exercise balance is key to your animals being happy and healthy.
Nutritional advice can be given upon request.
